See All ReviewsGreat Border Town BBQ with One Minor Letdown This was a highly satisfying visit! During a quick stop in this sleepy, historic border town, I knew I had to get some authentic Texas BBQ, and SMOKE absolutely delivered on that promise.I initially wanted to try the beef ribs, but even though it was only around 3:00 PM when I visited, they were already sold out. Instead, I opted for the moist brisket. Since it was late afternoon, there was no line, so ordering and receiving my food was a breeze. The brisket was exactly as advertised: moist, perfectly marbled with fat, and incredibly tender. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of that half-pound. I was in a rush to catch a flight and had to eat much faster than I wanted to, but it was still a fantastic meal. Hopefully, I can return in the future to taste those ribs. The only element that fell short of expectations was the hot sauce selection. When I asked for hot sauce, I was given a handful of packaged Tabasco packets. I could only stomach one packet and ended up returning the rest. For such a highly regarded BBQ institution, this was a major letdown. A place of this caliber should really be crafting its own signature house hot sauce, or at the very least, offering a higher-quality commercial option.
fast service smells so good here .prices are very reasonable .big area lots of tables and a party room also . plenty of parking delicious food
They have killer Short ribs! My husband loves the Dino ribs. The price is pretty high but that's for meat in general. So if you are going to buy barbecue spend extra for the good stuff!
